THE SUMMER HOLIDAYS – It’s every kid’s favourite time of the year. A time where they’re allowed to sleep late, sleep in, play the whole day, and sit in front of their screens. Although I allow them to have that downtime and let loose during the holidays, that doesn’t mean they can stuck their heads on their tablets and glue their faces in front of the TV the whole day. Therefore, some normalcy is needed to prevent the forthcoming lazy days.

Summer break is almost here. That means there’ll be lots of travelling. And if you’ve got little Lego enthusiasts in the house, this is a must-have travel kit. I know my girls were thrilled when they saw it. They actually still are. It keeps them occupied during road trips (even in the car), flights, in restaurants, hotel rooms, waiting at the doctor’s office, basically just everywhere!

Cekodok Pisang, also known as Kuih Kodok, Jemput-Jemput or Cucur Pisang is a beloved tea-time snack among Malaysians. Simply put, they are fried banana balls deep fried in oil. I remembered how often my mother used to make them when we were kids. With a nice crisp on the outside and fluffy in the inside.

A toddler’s age is such a delightful stage. It’s a time for learning and discovering; cognitively, emotionally and socially. And I, as a mother, would love to spend all of my time helping my toddler develop. However, we all do not have THAT kind of time to do so. We’re all busy parents here. And hey, even SAHM (Stay-At-Home-Mums)! So, here are a list of activities, approved by my toddler. And when I say ‘approved’, I meant she ACTUALLY asks me to set-up the activity for her or she grabs them by herself and starts playing.
